9th May, 2008

What a week! Its been a case of being pulled in many different directions and trying to make sense of it all. But I'd like to say thanks for all the good vibes and requests we've had for our music this week.

Many thanks to DJ Darkcloud in Honolulu for playing a wide selection of Offering tracks! And DJ Bradd, Bienne, Switzerland, DJ Pete Bidwell, UK and DJ Francisco Velázquez, Ibiza, Spain for requesting 'Stick it'. Francisco is playing it on his radio show Sonica Radio Ibiza 95.2- what a Geezer!

Fierce Kitten has upgraded its Studio machine so great things are on their way. More stuff is in the pipeline...all I've got to do is survive my birthday weekend! : )

25th April, 2008

Many thanks to all the DJs so far who have requested 'Stick it', our collaboration with Alisa B! Many many thanks to you! Its a real thrill to get this much club play!

DJ Vito NYC, DJ Michael Hades NYC, DJ Jay Faire NYC, DJ Way Miami Beach Florida, DJ Avery Matthews NYC, DJ Randy Bettis NYC, DJ Mikie Great Yarmouth, UK, DJ Brenda Black NYC, DJ Relentless NYC, DJ Flowers Denver, Colorado and DJ Gilligan Ocala, Florida !

Plus we have two tracks in the forthcoming film, 'The Sanguinarian' coming out in June. '48 Hours in Tokyo' and the instrumental version of 'Curious Flotsom' will both feature in scenes! How cool is that? : )

The Sanguinarian Theatrical Trailer

Plus there are a host of other projects and things going off in the background! Collaborations with Gary Flanagan, Sandhya Sanjana, Mali Mitchell (MaliSoul) and Manoush (NYC) are coming to various stages of fruition!

More stuff is also in the pipeline!

14th April, 2008

After a week of flu I've finally managed to drag myself back in the land of the living and actually get my head round some music!

'Stick it' is finally out on iTunes! The dance collaboration with Alisa B (Prince/Bruce Dickinson) will be hitting a dancefloor near you....alternatively follow the link below!

Also thanks to Patrick at P-Rock in Nashville for playing our stuff! You Rock!

9th April, 2008

Many thanks to Gabriel at Signos FM in Buenos Aries, for playing 'Luna' and 'Stick it' - You're a Geezer!

11th March, 2008

Gary Flanagan and Lou-pen 3rd have both remixed 'Luna'! Both are radical reworkings of the original track and we hope you enjoy them! I'll get some samples on the media page soon..but for now check them out on iTunes! Just follow the link below.....

18th March, 2008

Its been quite an eventful week! Mick Mercer is writing a new book on Goth, the fifth one on this subject, and he's including the Offering within the pages of his mighty tome! Cheers Mick! It'll be out in press on Cherry Red this Summer! Make sure you buy a copy!

Lory the talented and tenacious female entrepreneur at Lady Diabolika dot com has put together a pole dancing video on youtube as part of the promotion for our very tongue in cheek track, 'Stick it' with Alisa B (Prince, Bruce Dickinson). Its a racy club track as part of our 'Versus the Offering' series and we hope you enjoy it!

Lory herself has a team of dancers to promote her designs called the Lady Diabolika Dolls...check them out and get in touch with this very talented business woman....and more to the point buy something off her!

Alisa B has added her unique vocal talents to the track and it was a very fun thing to do! Sometimes its good to try on other musical hats......the track itself should be up on iTunes in a couple of weeks and the video is a bit of a taster for the track itself.

Check out the video!

The next track in the series is going to be dark and ethereal....so watch this space!

Mixing for 'Into the Hive' is going well. 'Day of the Dead' is sounding very chilled in a scary kind of way! and 'Love Song' is sounding big and heart rending....almost there!

7th March, 2008

The end of another week! Where does all the time go? 'Tounga' has been doing pretty well in the past week and I'm still fishing around for airplay after hitting 45 stations! But its starting to get picked up.

'Stick it' - the track with Alisa B is coming along well. This is the second track in the 'Versus the Offering' series after 'Tounga' with more tracks to follow. Its really a chance to explore other musical avenues under the umbrella of the Offering...and basically its fun! I hope you enjoy the series as it appears...but I'd like to point out that the Offering is still where I'm at musically. The Dark Heart still beats.

Which brings me onto the next bit of news....check out Leo Cain's show on TLP Network.

He's playing '48 Hours in Tokyo' on his latest 6pk episode...so please check it out if you have time.

'Day of the Dead' and 'Love Song' are also going well. The mixes are almost there....'Into the Hive' will be in your sticky cyberpaws soon. Its been a long and difficult album to do what with our fight against time and technology. We hope you enjoy it.

Until next time.

3rd March, 2008

Many many thanks to Manoush and DJ Chris for playing our stuff in the Big Apple last week! We're also collaborating on a track called 'Liquid Messiah'....

The mixes of 'Love Song' and 'Day of the Dead' are also going well...we'll be getting the album finished soon.

Plus, I've been working on the second track in the 'Versus the Offering' series. Its called 'Stick it' and has Alisa B's vocal talents on it. She's worked with Prince and Bruce Dickinson amongst others.

25th February, 2008

The first track in the 'versus the Offering' series is finally up on iTunes! It features the vocal talents of Alphouesseyni Kouyate, the very talented Kora player from Senegal.

Click on the image below to check it out....I'll get it up the media section soon.

15th February, 2008

Thanks to Jimi Lee of Indie Radio Chattanooga and UP Student Radio in Boise, Idaho for playing some of our tunes.

Its been a busy month production wise - the new Luna remixes from Gary Flanagan (Canada) and Lou-pen 3rd (Italy) should be up on iTunes soon along with a couple of interesting tracks in 'the Offering versus' series. 'Tounga' from Alpha in Senegal should be up soon and Alisa B (Prince/Bruce Dickinson etc) is doing another track called 'Stick it'. More of that as it develops.

I'm working on a whole bunch of experiments at the moment and hopefully won't get sidetracked too much!

25th January, 2008

Many thanks in advance to Goncalo Vasco at 1978 FM Radio in Portugal for wanting to play our stuff!

We have a few more updates to 'Into the Hive' on the players on the Media page and Homepage. we're almost there and then we plan to take stock and finish off the 'Curious Flotsom EP' amongst other things.

I've been getting get to more guitar based songs at the moment, but saying that I've just written a weird electronica track called 'Warped' which will surface at some point.

I've been working on many miscellaneous projects at the moment - one of them is the Yssi :Template Art Installation..Check it out.

16th January, 2008

Its been a while since I wrote anything on here....if only I had more time!

The album, 'Into the Hive' is going well and we only have four tracks to go. The track listing has changed somewhat as we've discarded tracks that didn't make the grade for whatever reason.

The songs are now (in no particular order!)

48 Hours in Tokyo
Damaged
Golgotha Falls
Luna
Shaken
Another World
Day of the Dead
of God and Gasoline
Your Eyes
Deep

We're also putting an EP together called 'Curious Flotsom' which will take the Offering sound into more atmospheric waters.

...and the follow up album? We're working on with more guitar and vocal harmonies. Mostly driven by Kara with the music working with and around her voice.

We hope to get out and gig this year and there have been some tentative offers in Europe...but we'll see how things develop.

I think 2008 will be interesting on many levels....

20th December, 2007

Well its December! What a long year! I thought I'd do something as a break from recording and mixing and general life stuff ..and Voila! I did several Wallpapers! Check them out in the Wallpapers section. Just drag and drop them onto your desktop or right click them for all you PC users! : ) I just did a selection of images and I'll probably add a few more as time goes by.

'of God and Gasoline' and 'Shaken' are going well. 'Gasoline' sounds very chilled and I'm going for a floaty cloud feel in the mix....I'll post up updates when its done.

I'd just like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the people who have checked us out, bought tracks, chatted and inspired us over the past twelve months. It's really much appreciated.

Mega Thanks also to all the DJs who have played our music in Clubs, Internet stations and FM stations world wide. It really has been a thrill to know that we're being played somewhere on the Planet.

There are a load of tracks in the vaults to finish but we're finding a new vitality, and 2008 will be a better year for us.

Happy Christmas one and all....and have a very Lucky New Year!

8th December, 2007

Thanks to Alison B for giving us a nice review for our third single, 'Luna' in her excellent production, Bubblegumslut magazine.

"The third single from electro goth act the Offering's forthcoming 'Into the Hive' album to appear on iTunes. 'Luna' sets a paranoid pace, with a dense, squelching bass line completing the skittish rhythm section. Kara's ambient wailings are on this occasion off-set with some whispered male vocals, all boding well for the full length when they finally finish it!"

'Nuff said!

26th November, 2007

Its been a bit of a gap between blogs but I'm finally managing to catch up! Firstly I'd like to say thanks to Wiktor at Kontrapunktradio for playing '48 Hours in Tokyo today on his radio show!

Thanks to Matt at Pulse for the interview yesterday in his '13 Questions' slot! I hope I didn't make any typos!

Then of course there's the Lingerie advert with Lady Diabolika...but more of that later!

I've been experimenting with a whole bunch of tracks and noises amongst numerous other things and some strong ideas are beginning to coalesce. Its a shame that many of my experiments may never surface....unless of course I make a special vibe page! Now there's an idea! : )

11th November, 2007

Thanks in advance to Kayla at WNYU FM Radio in New York and Chris Bate at Ipswich Community radio for wanting to spin our stuff!

I've just been working on some new vibes with my friend, and drummer, Chris Haylock....we'll probably avoid the funk country vibe for now though! Garth Brooks move over!!!

31st October, 2007

I've been busy this week getting Promo stuff off ready for airplay on a whole bunch of stations worldwide. Keep your ears tuned in a couple of weeks.

My Esteemed Uncle, David Sims co-wrote 'Luna' and has supplied the iTunes artwork....and so far the talented LouPen3rd is doing a House mix in Verona!

18th October, 2007

'Luna' is finally finished! A funky vibe coupled with Goth sensibilities.. There's a snippet of it on the Studio Update Player on the Home page- give it a blast!
Its also up for sale on the BLAST player contained half way down the Home page..it'll also be up on iTunes and TuneTribe.com in due course once I've got all the paperwork together! To think a song written in an hour can take so long to get out! This will be the third and last single from 'Into the Hive' so make the most of it!

Work is going on behind the scenes to finish off 'Into the Hive' and the 'Curious Flotsom EP' simultaneously, along with preliminary sketches for the following, as yet unamed, album.

Thanks to DJ Zeph in Louisiana for playing our music! You Rock!

Also thanks in advance to 4ZZZZ Radio in Brisbane and Kontrapunct Radio in Krakow!

27th September, 2007

Gothic Magazine in Germany is finally out! And 'How Far' is track 13 on their spangly new CD Compilation! Thanks Martin!

'Luna' is being mixed and is coming together quite nicely! So keep your ears peeled for that one!

Also there's another batch of Airplay on the way. More news on that as it comes in!

19th September, 2007

Most of the Offering tracks are now available for download as high quality 192kbps MP3. I appreciate that not everybody has an iPod and I'm trying to redress the balance by making them available for sale via PayPal. If you've got a spare few minutes then have a browse!

8th September, 2007

Many Thanks to Alison B at Bubblegumslut magazine for the following nice review of '48 Hours in Tokyo'!

A chilled effort now from Cambridge electro-rock set the Offering. '48 Hours in Tokyo' positively glides on understated, subtley hypnotic synths and the breathy seductive voice of one time Clandestined vocalist Kara Sultan. The overall sound is somewhere between Depeche Mode's suave electro anthems and the kooky charm of Kate Bush or even early Bjork. B-sides come care of remix outfits as far flung as Istanbul and Verona and though I'm not generally a great fan of remixes to fill up single space in place of some proper spanking new songs these do offer some interesting new takes on the lead track. Nice one indeed.

Thanks Alison! It's available on iTunes but will soon be available for download of the Offering site as well.

30th August, 2007 Part 2

Check out the Studio update iPod player on the Home page for a sample mix of the MaliSoul sessions (Track 2). These are just the instrumental mixes so far and Mali is working on the lyrics and vocals at the moment.

Another snippet of a new track called 'South Dakota Baby' is up on the Media page. Its a collaboration between me and Tony Kenyon, a talented lyricist from the States. He wrote it for his ladyfriend, Valerie.
It was an interesting departure for me and its one angle for me to pursue after 'Into the Hive' is finished.
I was aiming for a late 70's Clapton-esque type backing with a hint of the Allman Brothers- I don't know if I succeeded but it was fun trying! It'll be out on iTunes within the next month so keep your eyes peeled for it.

30th August, 2007

DJ Meatwad at headcaseradio.com will be playing our music both on Saturday the 1st of September at 1-4PM Pacific Time AND Sunday the 2nd of September on the supported bands show/podcast, which airs from 6-8PM Pacific time. This is also offered as a podcast starting sometime on Sunday evening after the show has played on air.
Please catch it if you can!

29th August, 2007

Thanks to DJ Meathead in advance for playing our tracks on Headcase Radio! Check out the link below....we should be up there soon!

Plus we're up on Vampirefreaks.com as well...its a new link so I haven't done much with it yet. Check out the other interesting bands and artists on there! Here's the Link....

28th August, 2007

Where to begin? After 6 weeks of ongoing computer problems we're finally back online! Highly frustrating! While this has been going on I've been working on six tracks with Mali Mitchell for the MaliSoul project, writing more stuff on guitar for the next Offering album which will have the drumming talents of my good friend Chris Haylock all over it. I thought it was time to loosen up and pay homage to our past whilst setting our sites even higher. The New with the Old. More guitar. More drums....coupled with the new sounds and technology that we've been using for 'Into the Hive'. More tracks are on the way. I know I've said this before but these have been very trying times for all concerned.

We have some airplay coming up in a couple of weeks in California..more on that when it happens. I'm trying to play catch up at the moment and get the Offering machinery into gear. Six weeks of rust!

Thanks to Rebecca Hohm at Goth Help Us for taking an interest in 'Tears and Chocolate'. They're a Charity organisation so please check them out and show them support! They do a lot of work for many good causes across five countries, so please take time to check out the link below.

5th August, 2007

Thanks again to Gabriel at FmSignos.com.ar for playing '48 Hours in Tokyo'! I Hope it goes down ok in Argentina! And thanks to Paul Dutnall at Pulserated for playing Airbagkillex's remix of '48 Hours in Tokyo' again! It seems to be getting popular!

Gothic Magazine in Germany are putting out a very early track on their 'Goth is What you make it-6' Compilation CD this month. 'How Far' from 1999 will get another airing very soon.

21st July, 2007

Thanks to Pulserated for playing various Offering instrumentals (Day of the Dead, Shaken, Curious Flotsom etc etc). They're playing them at random times so keep an ear out for them!

17th July, 2007

Thanks to Daniel at Chick Radio for putting '48 Hours in Tokyo' on their next playlist. Much obliged! It looks as if they've been playing '404 Not Found' for some time now as well!

16th July, 2007

'48 Hours in Tokyo' along with its great remixes from Betterwings and Airbag Killex, is now available on iTunes and Pulserated! Just click on the Links below!

6th July, 2007

What a week! My Mac developed Narcolepsy and kept falling asleep! Its in for repair at the moment and so I've been working on all sorts of old machines in a bid to keep up the momentum. Its been an ordeal and just goes to show how reliant we are on our computers! Nevertheless'48 hours in Tokyo' with its remixes are out on Pulserated.com ,closely followed by iTunes. I'll get some proper links up when things get back to normal next week and we can start pushing for more airplay for '48 Hours in Tokyo'- the second single off 'Into the Hive'.

Thanks again to Gabriel at FmSignos.com.ar for playing 'Nataline' and 'Dreams of the Red Chamber' at the weekend! What a Star! And thanks to Pulserated for playing Airbagkillex's remix of '48 Hours in Tokyo' on Monday night.

the Offering will be featured band of the week on Pulserated soon. They're editing the interview for going out on the air and that should be polluting the airwaves on SKY across the States and UK (Plus the net) very soon.

An EP of electronic stuff with various vocalists is something I'm playing around with at the moment and is really a collection of alternative electronica that doesn't really fit the Offering mould but will be a fun thing to do. So far, I've got a few vocalists on board- Alpha (Senegal), Marta (Spain) and Mali and Maria from darkest Cambridge. I'll be approaching a few more talented singers very soon. An interesting mix of people and cultures....the CD is tentatively called 'Curious Flotsom'

I'm also working on the possibility of getting some film music out and there are a couple more interesting projects in the pipeline

If you've got five minutes to spare would you leave a review of our music in the 'Slice the Pie Scout room'? We have three tracks up for review- '48 Hours in Tokyo', 'Damaged' and 'Golgotha Falls' and it would be great if you could help us on our way to financing the new album along with all its subsequent promotion. If you're up for it then click on the link below!

23rd June, 2007

I'm still in the process of getting tracks mixed and promoted- '48 Hours in Tokyo' is the next single and has some great remixes from Betterwings (Turkey) and Airbag Killex (Italy).
These should be out early this July all going well. The single track should be out end of June on iTunes and Pulserated.

I'll be putting updates up on a more regular basis both on Myspace and the official Offering site.
Lots more new vibes and collaborations to report. The album with Gary Flanagan is coming together (we're 8 tracks in) and there are some very unusual vibes on there. Sue Zmoelnig (Suetoyou) is working on three tracks at the moment and Alpha in Senegal is working on a couple of songs.

Another more rock orientated vibe is being put together with the help of Tony and Val in South Dakota. A slice of seventies Clapton-esque rock!

More projects on the way!

I'll get some audio previews of 'Curious Flotsom' online soon as well so keep checking us out!

Until next tiime!

8th June, 2007

'Monsters and Angels' is now available in a few more outlets.

Amazon, iTunes, CD Baby, Pay Play, BitMunk, Tradebit, NexHit.

So now there's no excuse not to buy a track! haha

Other news? Well...'48 Hours in Tokyo' is the next single and should be available in the next couple of weeks on iTunes and Pulserated. I'll let you know when its up! Remixes are on the way as well. Then we'll start the airplay ball rolling. Hopefully it'll be played in a town near you before July is out.

'Shaken' is next up on the production line and 'Luna' is close to being finished...and more tracks are on the way.

31st May, 2007

A new page has been added and its taken quite a while to put together....check out the Lyrics page! Each track has an associated image with it to give you a small insight into the feeling or origin behind a song. Drop us a comment if you can work out what each song means!

28th May, 2007

Many Many thanks to Gabriel at FmSignos.com.ar. for playing our music! It's amazing to get airplay in Argentina!

'48 Hours in Tokyo' is being mixed and remixed around the world. AirbagKillex is first off the mark with his really kickin' mix. More mixes from Murat Yasin (aka Betterwings) and Danny (aka Outlaw Youth) soon. Big Ups (as they say!) to Zombie Boy for his recent mix as well! I've never known one track being mixed by so many talented people...and thanks in advance to Kenny of Stryper/Nightranger/LA Guns fame.

I've been up to some very electronic stuff recently which has forced me to pick up my guitar and get back to basics. I'd forgotten how much I'd missed it.

A Lyric page will be added soon....probably in the next week or so. Now you can finally make sense of the words! I think its not before time....

14th May, 2007

Check out the new interview at Synthdictate.com. It's all in Russian so you'll have to get your dictionaries out! Many Thanks to Sheila!

122319 visitors this month! Thank you everyone for checking us out. I'll stop boring everybody with webstats now...honest.

I'm still wrestling with technology and am getting bogged down with everything. '48 Hours in Tokyo' will be finished this week if it kills me! Remixes are lined up as well...more on that when it happens.

Thanks to Jessica for all her selfless promotion work on the Offering Cyber-Street team. She's already proving to be an asset to Offering Inc.

3rd May, 2007

Gothic magazine in Germany are including a very old Offering track,'How Far' on their next CD compilation! The CD is called 'GOTH Is What You Make It, Vol.6' and promises to have a mix of interesting bands. Thanks in advance for that!

'48 Hours in Tokyo' is on its sixth mix and is shaping up into a killer of a track. Kara has put down a great vocal and is working on the rest of the album. Its going to be an eclectic mix.

Website traffic this month is now on 90000 visitors. I'm amazed at how many people there are in the World!

26th April, 2007

Thanks in advance to Reverand Malice in Pennsylvania and Salvia Diaz Noise Hour in Las Palmas, Spain for playing 'Damaged' and other assorted tracks on their respective shows.

I'm really knocked out by the response we've been getting recently- 70000 visitors this month! 30000 up from the 18th. Thanks for checking up on what we've been doing and thanks for your patience. We're laying down the vocal tracks for 'Into the Hive' in the next few weeks and singles will be appearing as they get mixed.

I'm also laying down preliminary tracks for the next album which is tentatively called 'Curious Flotsom'. Its going to be looser and more organic....possibly groove orientated at the moment of writing. I'll be posting snippets as it comes off the desk.

I found a great band on the net called 'Clare Quilty' and then was shocked that they'd split up last year. I had to buy their back catalogue. A real shame they've gone as they had a lot of great songs.

If there's anyone out they who can do guestbook code then please get in touch!

Until next time....

18th April, 2007

Thanks to Chick Radio in Italy for playing 'Damaged', 'Golgotha Falls' and '404 Not Found'....and thanks in advance to DJ Louis in San Diego! What a Star!

Amazingly this site has had 46000 visitors this month! Thank you to everyone for checking us out!

7th April, 2007

Thanks to DJ Oshie in France for playing some tracks (Damaged, Tears and Chocolate, Golgotha Falls and Shaken) on her web radio station, Montceau Jeunes (Click here for stream).

Work is still progressing on 'Into the Hive', albeit slowly, and a video is in the pipeline.

I'm still coughing so send me some healing vibes if you have the time!

Happy Easter!

24th March, 2007

Its been a week of change- Kara and Andrew are now fully fledged members of the Offering.
We'll be forging ahead with the band on all fronts...time allowing that is! I sometimes wish that there were more hours in the day...

Thanks to MC for her contributions and inspiration over the last year. I cant emphasise how much she has helped me out, both musicially and spiritually. A good friend and a kind soul.

15th March, 2007

'Damaged' and its remixes by Betterwings, Airbag Killex and Lou-pen 3rd are now up for sale on Pulserated.com as well as iTunes.

Thanks for all the people adding on MySpace. It really is much appreciated....there's been alot of interest from Japan, Estonia and Latvia recently- Thank you!

All the tracks are written for 'Into the Hive'....just waiting for the vocals to go down!

Gary Flanagan has put down some great synth lines for 'Your Eyes'- I'm just working on the mix now.

While waiting for the vocals I've been working on a few things. A very long Spanish piece has been put together for my friend Alicia Murcia's Flamenco inspired Art Exhibition at Downing College in Cambridge on Saturday the 17th of March. Its a 37 minute mash up of all sorts of sounds and styles....go along if you're in the area!

I've also started a collaboration with the very talented Kozi in Russia....I thought I could play the guitar a bit but she puts me to shame! More on that later....

'Damaged' is starting to be picked up by DJs worldwide..lets hope the trend continues.....

6th March, 2007

'Damaged' plus all three remixes are now up for sale on iTunes! Follow the link in the Merchandising page!

It should also be up for sale on Pulserated.com very soon as well so watch this space.

As for studio updates..'Shaken' is done..just 'Your Eyes' to mix.....then the vocals go down!

After going through the usual 'You can't publish until you have an agent..and you can't get an agent until you've got a publisher!' schtick, I can now say that my book, 'The White Room' is now finally up for sale on Lulu.com! You can buy it both as Paperback and Download - Just follow the links on the Merchandise page.

More lyrics for 'Into the Hive' have already been written and hopefully all the vocals will be going down onto the hard drive in the next four weeks. After a slight crisis of Faith I'm back in the Ring. It's going to be kickin'.

The 'Damaged' single plus its great Remixes by Airbagkillex, Betterwings and Loupen3rd will be up for sale on iTunes and Pulserated within the next couple of weeks. The tracks will be up on the Media page in the next week for preview.

14th February, 2007

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope Cupid's Arrow finds all of you!

Back to the news! 'Retrospective' is now available for sale on Amazon.com! There isn't a cover image yet but that should be up shortly. I had the same problem with 'Monsters and Angels' but they're are slowly sorting it out- the track listing should also be up soon.

Lyrics are still feverishly being written and the tracks are being tightened up one by one. It's always a very labour intensive process and 'Into the Hive' isn't behaving any differently from anything else I've ever written!

Two extra tracks will appear on 'Into the Hive'. These are 'Damaged' and the new reworking of 'Golgotha Falls'

The Remixes for 'Damaged' will also be up within the month on iTunes and Pulserated. So keep an eye out for them.

9th February, 2007

Thanks in advance to DJ Jakub Mildner for playing 'Damaged'!

I'm in the middle of getting to grips with various forms of new technology. Midi Keyboards, software and the like are all taking great chunks of my time. I've also been feverishly writing lyrics and mixing the new album. I've done a remake of 'Golgotha Falls' which will be added as an extra track. This one sounds really cool.

My book, 'The White Room' will also be up for sale soon after ten years in the doldrum. It's a Comedy/Horror/ Science Fiction book. What a mix but it's better late than never! My Guitar book will join it on the cyber shelves at some point....but it'll take a while to get up there as it's quite a hefty tome.

2nd February, 2007

'Damaged', 'Monsters and Angels' and 'Retrospective' are now up for sale on Pulserated.com - these are in MP3 format for all of you who don't want to have to mess about with iPods!
Check out their radio station on SKY and you should catch one of the five Offering tracks being played!

Thanks to Scott Beck in advance at KBVU Radio in Iowa for requesting a stack of Offering Tracks!
The CDs are winging their way over the Atlantic and should be there shortly. Contact him at the station to request the tracks of your choice.

Just done the lyrics for 'Luna' and they're a little weird. It's all about a Panther Girl in a metorphorical Jungle. All very GooGooGaJoob. My way of thinking is that if I don't do it..then who will? :D

I'm also three quarters of the way into a mix of Golgotha Falls with another 'found' vocal of Kara's. It's sounding very chilled and could go in a number of ways.

'Damaged' is up for sale on iTunes! Just follow the link for the merchandise page or go there direct! Its also been played on Pulserated's SKY internet radio station, along with 'Killing Time', 'Crow', 'Damage Limitation' and 'How Far'- A strange mix of tracks really...but Hey! Its' their choice!

'48 Hours in Tokyo' is nearly done bar the vocals and will be the next single.

Thanks in advance to DJ Lucca for requesting the 'Damaged' track!

29th January, 2007

Thanks in advance to DJ Taiki for playing 'Damaged'! It's amazing to be having discs spun in Japan. I'm really knocked out!

Many, many thanks to Gary Flanagan at Nightwaves, for reviewing the entire Offering back catalogue! What a Star! His reviews will be up soon....once I've written the code!

20th January, 2007

'Retrospective' is now up for sale on CustomFlix...just follow the link from the Merchandise page!
All the tracks can be heard on the Media page and the whole collection encompasses the period 1999-2006. I think it really shows the diverse history of the band and closes that whole period in a conclusive way.

New remixes of 'Damaged' are on the way and it should be up on iTunes fairly swiftly (along with 'Retrospective'. Another version of 'Golgotha Falls' is being assembled from Kara Sultan's vocals and is sounding quite enormous. 'Day of the Dead' is now written along with 'Elemental' and 'Love Song' for 'Into the Hive'. So things are going pretty well. At least I haven't hit a writers block yet!

More big stuff in the pipeline..watch this space!

18th January, 2007

Two new tracks are up on the Media page! 'Flowers' and 'the Mattress and the Kitchen Sink' with Gary Flanagan! We're having a lot of fun doing things outside of our relative boxes and there's more stuff in the pipeline-we'll just keep going until we have a whole bunch of tracks to put out!

I'm also amazed at the response to the Offering site. There's been increased traffic over the past month and its just shy of 6000 unique visitors! Thanks for checking us out. It really is humbling.

More tracks are going down. I've written the lyrics for 'Elemental' and 'Lovesong' ...next on the list is 'Shaken'. Hopefully vocals should go down in February once I've finished the Donkey work.

Until then I've got to repair my fence for the second time this week...no rest for the windblown!

15th January, 2007

The first blog of the new year! I've been remixing 'Damage Limitation' with Kara Sultan's vocals from sessions a year or so back, as I never felt that I did them justice with the original track. I had altered the track at the time to such an extent that it wasn't really the same song! Kara felt the vocal didn't really fit at the time and I had to agree but I knew that there was something there. Six to seven hours of fiddling later and Hey Presto! A new track was born. 'Damaged' It should be up on iTunes before the end of the month and in a club near you a little before that. Well that's the plan anyway. Check it out on the Media page.

Gary Flanagan has also done some fantastic synth work on 'Your Eyes' for 'Into the Hive' and we're currently working on a joint project which will probably come to fruition over the course of this year. But we're not rushing it and just basically having fun with different vibes and feels. I'll post the tracks as they appear. So far we've done two-'Flowers' and 'The Mattress and the Kitchen Sink'. The latter is so catchy that the hookline will become encoded in your DNA.

More things are in the pipeline..along with playing Live in 2007.

Until next time......

Thanks to all the Radio stations Worldwide who are playing the Offering's music! Radio Adelaide and the mighty Moll and John from the Monochrome Museum! More play is coming up in Toronto and California.
14 tracks have been finalised for 'Into the Hive' and feverish work is beginning on the lyrics. Standout tracks at the moment include 'Shaken', 'Your Eyes' and 'Love Song'. Nice vibes.
All going well 'Monsters and Angels' should be up for sale on Amazon.com in the next couple of weeks. There's also an Offering retrospective album coming out...called 'Retrospective'. Hey! It was the best title I could come up with. There'll be 18 tracks from all eras of the Offering and puts everything into context. the Offering is dead. Long live the Offering!

11th December, 2006

Some MP3 samples of 'Into the Hive' are up on the media page. It's still very much a work in progress. The basic grooves are down and the essence of the Lyric ideas are there courtesy of the talented David Sims. Another snippet of good news is that 'Monsters and Angels' will shortly be up for sale at Amazon.com....just crossing the t's and dotting the i's. Thanks to the Black Channel, CKRW, Z99 and Radio Tonka for playing tracks. It's much appreciated. More stuff is on the horizon so stay tuned.......

23rd November, 2006

It's been a bit of a gap between blogs, but here I am again. With a Chesty cough and a medicinal Vodka I'm trying to get the fluff between my ears to work! Monsters and Angels should be available on Amazon very soon and the next album, Into the Hive is going very well. A solid selection of tracks! Last one to go down was 'Love Song'. A dark but strangely catchy tune. More airplay in Germany, Italy, USA, and Canada is/has gone on! More reviews are on their way....I've got to get them up on the site asap. Remixes are already being sorted out for an interesting project with the very talented Mr Danny Irving. The video for 'When the Earth met the Sky' is finally going ahead with the phenomenal Mr Andrew Begg.....phew! More Digital distribution is on the way. I'll get the list up before the evening's out. (Merchandise link) Good vibes to Janelle for her op on friday!

10th November, 2006

Many thanks to Anna at Radio Caroline for airplay! You're a star! The end of another week and another track is almost in the bag. Oranges in the Snow.....it's a strange one!

7th November, 2006

Radio airplay is occuring in a few places globally so far. Canada, Italy and Los Angeles. More places to follow as I keep stuffing those jiffy bags! Promotion is a very humbling experience! Along with this we're 10 tracks in to the next CD 'Into the Hive' Most of the instrumental work has been done now, so it's just the vocals. Standout tracks so far include 'Elemental' and 'Yes, She Said' . Reviews for Monsters are already being written. I'll post them very soon. Until next time....stay warm!
